The hotel location was great, as it was very close to the tourist attractions. the staff was also friendly and helpful even though they struggled with English. the breakfast was good with a few different options to choose from. the view from the room was also amazing, especially during the winter.
The hotel was not suitable for a Christmas vacation. There were no Christmas decorations, music, or any special activities at all.

We had an amazing time at this hotel! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, with excellent English skills, and they went out of their way to teach us about Japanese culture. The hotel was very clean and had great facilities, including an onsen that we absolutely loved. The location was perfect, very close to the bus stop and train station, and it was easy to get around the city from there.
There was nothing we didn't like.

The traditional décor of the hotel was delightful, and the staff was very kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They immediately served us tea and mochi upon arrival, even before explaining the hotel's information. The food was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, with a lot of different options. The outdoor hot spring bath was amazing, and the bathroom amenities were top-notch.
The parking lot is small, and the staff hold on to the car keys, which can be inconvenient if you want to come and go quickly. The hotel’s interior looked a little worn in some areas, with scratches and marks on the walls and tables.

If you are looking for an authentic ryokan experience, this traditional hotel is a great choice. It is conveniently located near a bus stop and train station, making it easy to explore the area. the spacious rooms with tatami mats and futon beds are clean and tidy, and the private bathrooms are a nice touch. the staff is very friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout your stay. the traditional Japanese breakfast is delicious, and the top-floor baths offer stunning mountain views. the only downside is the lack of response to messages about transportation options.
